Stefano Perri
Stefano Perri is full professor of Political Economy at the University of Macerata since 2004. He has been honorary research fellow at the University of Glasgow, 1986. His main research interests are concentrated on: Italian economic thought between nineteen and twentieth century, with particular emphasis on the reception of classical and Marxian economics (among others Socialism and Marginalism in Italy, 1880-1910, in Steedman, ed. in Socialism and marginalism in Economics. 1870-1930, Londra, 1995, with R. Faucci); classical and Marxian economics and Sraffian developments (among others: Prodotto netto e sovrappiù. Da Smith al Marxismo analitico e alla ‘New Interpretation’, Torino, 1998, and “The Counterfactual Method of Marx’s Theory of Surplus Value”, Review of Political Economy, 2003); the crisis of the Italian economy: inequalities, distribution of income and structural issues.
